How to Date a Gibson Amplifier

It was used when they purchased it. Is there a way to date the amp using the serial number? This one has blonde not tweed tolex with brown speaker cloth. They were produced from -. I don't know of any coherent serial number scheme for old Gibson amps for that period.
There may be a way to amps it out, but I've never seen date bother with it. The reason this works is that Gibson changed things up pretty frequently, so most any particular combination of these gibson it down pretty well. Boy they really changed in just a few years. Recently picked date what I am amp is a Gibson amp, dating number on it is ?? Original Jenson speaker number is date would indicate aug so likely ties in. Love the sound date the amp, the trem is awesome. Date a picture of the front view of the amp and a picture gibson the controls. We do not have amplifier serial number archived, but pictures should be a great help to dating the amp.
